Marv Wolfman Approves Of Justice League Deathstroke

Sorry, if you haven’t seen Justice League, you’re a bit out of luck here, because it’s been two weeks and this is too cool not to talk about. So, at the very end of Justice League, Warner Bros and DC Comics decided to give what could be one of the coolest end-credits sequences ever. For in it, a free Lex Luthor summons none other than Deathstroke to his yacht to discuss the newly formed Justice League. Right before teasing fans with, “Don’t you think we should have a league of our own?”

Arrow EP Reveals Deathstroke’s Return Episode

One of the biggest things that happened in the season finale of Arrow in May was that Manu Bennett returned to play Deathstroke after years since his last “true” appearance. He was a major character since season 01, and was the villain of season 02. He returned in season 03 for one episode…but it wasn’t an episode that fans like because of its depiction of Deathstroke. But, in “Lian Yu”, he was more the true Slade Wilson, and fans were grateful.

Deathstroke To Return “Multiple Times” To Arrow

Arrow Season 05 was a pivotal turning point for the character known as Deathstroke. On one hand, the character returned in the show’s 100th episode…but it was only in costume, it wasn’t voiced or portrayed by the original actor Manu Bennett. But then, in the season finale “Lian Yu”, Bennett did indeed return, and fans rejoiced as the one true Deathstroke came back to form. You see, in Season 03, he was treated kind of badly by the writers, even Bennett noted how far the character was from when we saw him in Season 02, but the Season 05 finale seemed to indicate things would be better for the character.

Joseph Manganiello Set to Play Deathstroke in Batman

Late last month, Ben Affleck tweeted out a video that had the internet buzzing. It was a video of what appeared to be a live-action version of Deathstroke for the DCEU movies. Some fans wondered if it meant the longtime DC Universe rogue would be appearing in Justice League. Well today, The Wall Street Journal reports that actor Joseph Manganiello has been officially cast in the role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. In addition, Deathstroke will be the villain in the upcoming, planned solo Batman movie starring Ben Affleck.
