After adding every popular horror villain under the sun, the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight is heading back to its roots and sticking with original characters for a while (the temporary nature of some of those licenses may have something to do with it). Portrait Of A Murder, the new update announced today, will be the first in a while to add both a new Survivor and a new Killer at the same time, plus a new map. This new Killer has one of the darker backstories DBD has spun: Carmina Mora, also known as the Artist, once used her paintings to call awareness to local corruption, until the ones doing the corrupting found out and sent men to have her mutilated and dumped in the graveyard. Instead of dying, she was saved by a murder of crows who became her allies. She was also discovered by the Entity around this time and recruited by him into an existence of endless vengeance. Mikaela Reid, Dead by Daylight Hour of the switch. Mikaela Reid is the Survivor of the latest chapter of Dead by Daylight. The Hellraiser chapter comes with a killer but no Survivor. This chapter is going to be the opposite. I assumed the killer of this chapter is going to be a witch base on the title but it’s not. There is no killer for this chapter. Dead by Daylight has done it before with Ash Williams and Bill Overbeck. Mikaela Reid is a Witch herself but she is a Survivor and instead of a killer. Pinhead is trending on Twitter because he can now Punish characters from other franchises. Pinhead from the  Hellraiser franchise is the next licensed killer for Dead By Daylight but sadly as a replacement for a beloved chapter. We can say he will be the replacement of The Demogorgon, as The Stranger Things ends its deal with Dead by Daylight. The lead Cenobite or Hell Priest  will be the most paranormal Survivor  by far. His Gameplay is a cross between The Nurse, Freddie Krueger and the Deathslinger. Hellraiser started as a Clive Barker Novella titled The Hellbound Heart.   Barker eventually directed a movie adaptation and that leads to a film franchise.  Doug Bradley played him onscreen for years. He looks fun to play as a killer. However, he looks hell to play against as a Survivor because of his traps and long range attacks. Pinhead is also the first killer in the game that talks in English because most canonically English speaking killers in the game just grunt and murmur.

It was quite a while ago that Dead By Daylight made a Stranger Things theme available in their game — about as long ago as the last season of the series, to give you an idea. Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington were added as Survivors and the Demogorgon was added as the monster. You had to help Nancy and Steve escape from the basement of Hawkins Lab before the Demogorgon caught and devoured them. You can still do all this, but now you can add a little style to it. New outfits have been added for Nancy and Steve…basically, the outfits they were wearing when we first saw them, a more innocent time. Nancy’s got her rose-colored cardigan and Steve has his horizontally striped Sears Fashions polo shirt. The only thing missing is Barb (too soon?) For quite a while now, the additions to the multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight have been pre-existing characters from other horror franchises. But next month they’ll be adding their first original character in a while…or two, actually. Say hello to Charlotte and Victor Deshayes. Born as conjoined twins in the 17th century, they were hunted by a superstitious community that didn’t understand them. They wound up being shipped to a dark temple where they were experimented on until Victor died. But The Entity (the main villain and force behind the game’s lore) resurrected Victor, gave him the ability to separate from Charlotte, and sent the pair to work for him.
