The Flash has been in production for years but it has been hostage because of Circumstances like recastings and controversies. Irish West who is The Flash’s love interest was originally going to be played by another actress but it ended with Kiersey Clemons. It will also be the final movie where we will see Ben Affleck as Batman. Michael Keaton‘s Batman will also be in the film.
Black Adam stars Dwayne “The Rock” John as he play the role of Shazam‘s arch-nemesis. People who grew up reading DC comics knew Black Adam as a Super Villain. In Cartoons, he is also not a good guy, but this spin-off is a prequel before he becomes corrupted by greed for power. DCEU is currently dealing with controversial actors like Ezra Miller and Amber Heard getting canceled, but I won’t worry about this film because “The Rock” has a cleaner reputation and barely had a scandal. His portrayal in the Trailer is heroic, so I wonder if his eventual heel turn will be in this movie.
After playing the supervillain Killmonger on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan will join the DCEU. Michael B Jordan’s production company got chosen by DC comics and Warner Brothers to produce a movie adaptation for Static Shock. Michael B Jordan will be one of the head producers of the film. He will not be playing the title role.
The Snydercut use to be a Mythical enigma on the internet. It does exist but this version of the Justice League movie is incomplete after Zack Snyder was replaced as a director. Due to fan support and outrage, the demand for this canceled version of the Justice League film increases.
If there was any doubt that SHAZAM! wasn’t being made, you can sure cast it away by now. Because in the last month or so we’ve not only gotten the reveal of Zachary Levi as Earth’s Mightiest Mortal, and Asher Angel as Billy Batson, but now, we have a key arrival in the supporting cast via Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman.
The DCEU is marked by many things. Divisive reception, “questionable” takes on characters, and a dark feeling that seems to have griped the whole universe (save for Wonder Woman, but that had darkness too). And then with Justice League, despite a surprising opening scene with Superman, it soon faded into a scene with Batman catching a robber (and a Parademon), and then a montage to a rather depressing song called, “Everybody Knows”. Given that the film was made by two directors, Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon, you’d think that the song was put in by the former, but you would be wrong.
It’s an interesting time for the DCEU. Justice League didn’t live up to expectations, but many consider it a step in the right direction for the universe. As for what’s next, while Aquaman, SHAZAM!, and Wonder Woman 2 are all confirmed (with the earliest coming in late 2018), the rest of the movie slate is very much up in the air. There’s of course rumors of Man of Steel 2, Flashpoint, Green Lanterns, and The Batman. Suicide Squad 2 is coming, but when it starts filming is up in the air, and then, there’s a bunch of rumored solo films for characters like Deathstroke, Black Adam, and Nightwing that have people attached to them, but nothing more than that. And now, we can throw in Harley Quinn to the solo movie market.
