Darkwing Duck Returns To DuckTales Next Week

He is the terror that flaps in the night. He is the sneeze on your enchilada! He is the soft brown doggie deposit that befouls the golf course of crime! He is DARKWING DUCK! And he’s coming back to TV….sort of. As viewers of Disney Channel and Disney XD’s 2017 DuckTales series know, the show has pulled in all sorts of characters from The Disney Afternoon’s first few years of existence, but with Darkwing Duck…it gets complicated. Darkwing was introduced to this version of Duckburg as a fictitious character with his own popular TV show the nephews happened to be obsessed with. He was played by actor Jim Starling (who in reality was original Darkwing VA Jim Cummings), a man who got a little too obsessed with his role. This Rejected Darkwing Duck Game Is Worthy Of The Hat And Mask

Anyone remember Capcom’s Darkwing Duck video game? If you were an NES owner, you most likely do…Capcom worked wonders with Disney licenses back in the day. Recently, developer Headcannon pitched a sequel to the Darkwing game. Capcom still holds the rights, and they allowed a 2013 sequel to their DuckTales game, but unfortunately, they did not bite this time. You may know Headcannon for their work on Sonic Mania, regarded as the best Sonic of the last decade. Rather than letting all that work sit in a drawer, Headcannon decided to upload videos of their pitch demo. It features creative contributions from Aaron Sparrow and James Silvani, the respective writer and artist behind Boom Studios’ Darkwing Duck comic book (now sadly cancelled, but amazing while it lasted). There aren’t any voices, but similar to DuckTales Remastered, the goal was to re-hire as much of the original voice cast as possible, with the exception of Christine Cavanaugh who has the double excuse of being retired since 2002 and also dead. SDCC 2017: Darkwing Duck Coming To Ducktales

The upcoming Ducktales revival is something that fans old and new have been wanting for a long time. But, with its revival comes questions about what other classic Disney shows could return. One of the biggest requests by far is the originals “sister show” Darkwing Duck. Both shows used the character called Launchpad McQuack, but, both were confirmed to be separate universes…until San Diego Comic Con that is. Because, for the first time ever, Darkwing Duck will appear in the universe alongside Scrooge McDuck, Donald, Huey, Duey, and Louie, and the rest. Now, it wasn’t made clear when in the first season he will appear, but he IS coming. And, he’ll have his adopted daughter Gosalyn with him. So, say it with me kids, “Let’s get dangerous!”

Disney Infinity: Fan Poll Open for Next Character Addition

An official Disney blog revealed that Disney Infinity is giving fans the opportunity to vote for the next character addition for Disney Infinity with Disney Infinity Player’s Pick 2015. The voting is officially underway, and the poll to vote on a number of characters across the Disney pantheon, including classic Disney animated features, TV series and live action films. Besides the poll, fans also have the option to tweet at Disney Infinity or comment on the team’s Instagram or Facebook, with #OurDisneyInfinity and their top pick. The poll has a list of 20 characters for fans and players to choose from, and 12,938,553 votes have already been cast. Currently, the poll leader appears to be Gravity Falls star Mabel Pines with 50 percent of the vote. Coming in second at the moment is fan favorite character Darkwing Duck of Darkwing Duck. Other than Darkwing Duck and Mabel, it is slim pickings for the rest of the characters. Only Cruella de Vil has more than one percent right now with a
