Legends of Tomorrow is one of the longest-running shows on CW. It was part of the Arrowverse, and it has been running around for seven seasons. All it needed was one Final Season to wrap things up.
Smallville Season 11 is the continuation of the comic of the beloved TV series. In 2013 DC made Season 11 as a comic book. That is three years since the season 10 finale. Fans longed for an adaptation, but it didn’t happen. Smallville is a Teenage drama about a young Clark Kent before he became Superman. That show lasted for ten seasons, but fans never get to see Clark Kent sporting the blue suit. It is the only continuity where Lex Luthor and Clark Kent started as best friends.
One down, more to go! After ending Arrow, the founding series of the Arrowverse. Supergirl is going to end as a series at Season 6 the next year in the year 2021. The Melissa Benoist lead series is one of the major shows of the Arrowverse.
The CW revealed a few more details about their next DC superhero crossover today, and they have us wondering if the story being told may not even be canon.
Earlier this year, during the upfronts for the CW, Arrow star Stephen Amell came out and revealed that Batwoman would be coming to the Arrowverse via a three-part crossover between Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl. A crossover that would take them to Gotham City. Since then, fans have been eager for more and more details about the arrival of Kate Kane. And not only is there a series apparently being prepared for her, we now know that it will be none other than Ruby Rose playing her.
For YEARS now, fans of the CW/DC Comics universe have been begging for a Batman character, or just plain Batman, to arrive in the universe. Yes, we’ve had villains like Firefly, Ra’s and Talia al Ghul, and other references to the Dark Knights of Gotham, but they’ve never made a full-on appearance. And that will remain…until this fall. For at the CW Upfronts, where people behind the shows at CW teased what would be coming, Stephen Amell himself took to the stage to announce that not only would Gotham City be seen this year…but Batwoman would be part of the next crossover event.
If there is one character who has suffered the most during the “superhero TV boom” that’s been going on the last six years or so, it’s John Constantine. The character was put on NBC for a season that really resonated with fans, but not enough for NBC to renew it. Then, to show faith in the character, the CW brought him in for a guest spot on Arrow in Season 04. But, fans wanted more.
Arrow’s Season 06 has been about dealing with a group of villains united against Oliver Queen, however, a key part of that storyline has now ended, and it’s leaving many to wonder what’s next. Well, one thing that will happen is the return of several key members of the team, including Roy Harper, aka Arsenal.
When Legends Of Tomorrow was brought into the Arrowverse on the CW, it was a very bold move. For unlike Arrow and Flash before it, this was not a team set in the lore of DC Comics. The team was all DC Comics characters to be sure, but no team called the “Legends Of Tomorrow” had ever existed in the universe. Thus, it was breaking ground. However, the first season was very inconsistent. Yet, it kept going, and with Season 02 they found their niche, and it helped that they had the Legion of Doom as the villains.
One of the things that makes the new CW show Black Lightning so interesting is that this hero has already do the superhero thing before, and that means his characters are already established, we just have to learn more about them. One of them is Peter Gambi, the man who helped make the suit for Jefferson Pierce, and the one who believes that he is needed now more than ever.
One of the biggest appeals about the CW/DC Comics show Legends of Tomorrow is that it features no true “A-List” heroes, but instead, feature the “B-Listers” coming together to save all of time. And though it had a rocky start, it soon became one of the best shows on the network. Now in Season 03, the series is still on its midseason hiatus, but it’ll soon be the Legends turn to shine again, and soon after they return, they’ll be getting a new member via Kid Flash, aka Wally West.
