Red Ash: Keiji Inafune's Next Game Project Gets Kickstarter Launch
Comcept and Keiji Inafune have announced their next video game project, Red Ash, which will follow the release of Mighty No. 9 later this year. The new game is an upcoming third-person, action RPG that pays homage to Japanese anime and Inafune’s vision of “immersing players in a freely explorable anime world.” The game will be spearheaded by art director Kazushi Ito and director Masahiro Yasuma, the key members of the team behind the open world game design of Mega Man Legends. So it appears the game will be a spiritual successor of sorts to the aforementioned title. Interestingly enough, the game will have some shared character names from Might No. 9, specifically Beck and Call. Comcept was a little coy regarding this idea, saying: “We feel that this is an important part of the project: we’re taking this opportunity to create an altogether different type of game together with the support of fans and backers. We want to continue embracing this new style of game design and production, challenges and risks
