Funimation Preparing A Final Merch Blitz For Attack On Titan
It’s been with us for nearly a decade, but Attack On Titan is finally winding down. The manga has wrapped up and the anime is running through its last episodes, both on Funimation’s streaming service and Saturday evenings on Toonami. But Funi won’t let the Titans dissolve without one last party. They’re preparing a new wave of merchandise centered around the last season as well as the story as a whole. The merch will focus on Beast Titan and Colossal Titan, scouts Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha, and Levi, and memorable moments from past seasons. “Attack on Titan was part of the anime renaissance as storytelling became bolder and even more sophisticated,” says Anna Songco Adamian, Funimation Vice President of Licensing & Merchandise. “Funimation’s consumer products program saw a parallel trajectory of success in product development and retail distribution. The care in curation we put behind our licensing and merchandising program — along with our omnichannel approach for fan engagement — is part of Funimation’s success story with Attack on Titan.”
