Civil War II

Marvel Comics big summer even is Civil War II, a direct sequel in many ways to the original event that truly changed the world of Marvel Comics forever. With four issues done, the story has already taken many twists and turns. But now, a real life event has caused a delay for the issues, and add to that a desire to better cap off the story, and now Civil War II is bigger than ever. Writer Brian Michael Bendis explained this on his Tumblr Blog: “well, if you peak over at @davidmarquez Facebook you’ll discover that he and his amazing wife tara just had a kick ass baby boy. a very cute baby too. and not all babies are cute at the start 🙂 not a delay hell, or a conspiracy, just a new baby in the middle of the hardest issue to draw. the ending of four shows that five is a monster. david has been handing in about a page a day for the last couple of weeks

In Civil War II #3, which released today. A major Marvel character was killed, and this characters death will reverberate throughout the Marvel Universe. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! After a premonition of a massacre by the Hulk, many Marvel heroes came together to try and prevent Bruce Banner from doing said massacre. As a result though, Bruce Banner was killed by fellow Avenger Hawkeye. In a twist though, it was shown that Banner contracted Hawkeye to do so. This even will unfold not only in the Civil War II series, but also in two separate one-shots called The Fallen and The Accused. Which will show the conflict from the angle of Banner’s funeral, and Hawkeye’s trial. What’s clear though is that these books won’t be cookie cutter filler, they’ll deal with the true fallout of Hulk’s death, and the fate of his killer. Currently, Marvel Comics is going through another status quo shake-up in the form of Civil War II. Though the event has barely truly started, it’s been teased that the fallout from the event will last for quite some time. Today, Marvel officially unveiled that after the event, the comics will enter a “Divided We Stand” lineup. The picture above references the sides that will be taken for this new status quo. Fastcocreate broke the news and the image, as well as talked to Marvel Editor Axel Alonso, who noted why these specific characters were on the teaser image: “They’re all there because they matter,” Alonso said. “They’ll either be in a solo series, or they’ll be a key member of a team, or they’ll do something that you will be talking about in a Marvel book that will bring them into a position of prominence. They’re there for a reason. Including that big, big, big what appears to be a Godzilla foot.” Alonso also noted how proud he was of
