Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Presents…THE SPOT!

Who’s behind the dimension-hopping shenanigans in the anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse? Director Christopher Miller revealed the answer today. He’s a very Dalmatian-looking man. Miller and co-director Phil Lord have picked the obscure Spidey villain The Spot to be one of the center characters of the movie. Spot has the impressive ability to create holes that lead anywhere on any surface, including himself (as he has done several times). Though he looks intimidating in the concept art shown off today, The Spot in the comics is kind of a joke: But maybe now’s his chance to get some respect. Makers Of “Into The Spider-Verse” Sign Deal For Multiple Spider-Man Themed Shows

We thought Sony Pictures “Into The Spider-Verse” was incredible, and fortunately, so did the Academy. The Oscar Phil Lord and Chris Miller won for the feature have boosted their statuses even higher than when they created “The Lego Movie,” and Sony wants more — so they locked them down. Lord and Miller have signed a nine-figure deal with Sony for exclusivity in developing TV properties. The deal includes the Spider-Man characters and associated villains, as well as everyone that appeared in “Into The Spider-Verse.” Might a TV series explore the depths of that aforementioned Verse?
