Footage Of Cancelled Diddy Kong Racing Sequel Emerges
In what is sure to be the most surprising news you’ll wake up this morning to hear, demo footage from a proposed Diddy Kong Racing sequel, entitled “Diddy Kong Racing Adventures,” has turned up. Rare originally proposed their own sequel, “Donkey Kong Racing,” and it had been given the go-ahead shortly before they left Nintendo’s wing. Climax Entertainment saw an opportunity for some work and built their own version. Like the original Diddy Kong Racing, this game would have been a combination between a racer and an adventure game. One would traverse an overworld in their vehicle and choose from six different zones containing three separate courses each. The roster of available vehicles would have been greatly expanded, covering quad-bikes, planes, jet skis, and hover scooters, and upgrading them would have been possible.
