Breaking Glass Pictures has announced they’re releasing the indie horror film Alice And The Vampire Queen to digital platforms next month. The titular Alice Oldman thinks she’s dreaming when a mysterious stranger approaches her with an amazing job offer: be the top chef for an exclusive club, with a high salary to boot. Alice takes the job, not realizing the truth about the establishment: it’s run by, and caters to, vampires. And once she’s in, she can’t get out — she must either make the meals or BE the next meal! Alice And The Vampire Queen stars Shelby Hightower, Graham Wolfe, Brenna Carnuccio, Rachel Aspen, Danielle Muehlen, Xavier Michael, Chris James Boylan, and Aaron Dalla Villa. It was produced and directed by Dan Lantz, alongside co-producers Richard Wolff and Susan Helfrich. The film has already had a limited theatrical run in 2023. Breaking Glass Pictures will be debuting their social satire thriller The Influencer on DVD and VOD next month. Everyone loves influencer Abbie Rose, at least in the opinion of Abbie Rose. She uploads lifestyle, fashion and makeup videos nightly that are watched by millions. There’s obvious money to be made here, so why not devote a few of those minutes each night to a little spon-con? The wealthy cosmetics company Nutrocon wants their products featured on her show, and they’re willing to pay top dollar. Who cares about their reputation for pollution and animal testing, or recent reports of misogyny within their offices? Surely the Internet will be willing to overlook that, right? All this, combined with the fact that people know where Abbie lives, equals a break-in and a hostage situation. What’s better than Amityville and Poltergeist? Both at once! …actually it’s in name only; Breaking Glass Pictures’ new horror flick has obviously thrown two untrademarkable words together as a marketing trick to get attention. This kind of thing used to thrive in video rental stores. Both Amityville and Poltergeist are haunted house movies, and so is Amityville Poltergeist. A young man has taken a housesitting job in an airy, shadowy mansion. His only immediate worry is that someone will try to break in, as he isn’t trained at performing security-guard duties. The creepy old woman who owns the place — because you wouldn’t expect anything different — tells him it shouldn’t be a problem, because it’s the things already in the house that should concern him more. That should’ve set off alarm bells in his head, but it doesn’t and he falls right into the trap everyone expected him to.
