The Witness Coming To Xbox One This September
Braid creator Jonathan Blow has revealed that his latest title, The Witness, will be coming to Xbox One. Speaking to IGN, the developer confirmed that he and Thekla Inc. were currently working on a port of the game that they are trying to release for September 13. The team are also working on an iOS port of the title, though Blow insists that there will be no platform exclusive content in any version of the game, with them all being the same. “There are some technical differences, but it’s basically the same game,” Blow told IGN. “I feel like that would kind of… mess up the game,” he continued. The Witness originally released in January 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Windows, with the Sony system having console exclusivity for an extended period of time. In fact, the developers had never mentioned that the game would come to other platforms before its release. Despite some criticism over the similarity of the puzzles, the critical reception for The Witness was generally positive
