BioWare has announced the two final pieces of DLC for Mass Effect 3, effectively ending the story of Shepard. The DLCs for both single-player and multiplayer are named Citadel and Reckoning respectively.
If you haven’t gotten around to it yet, now’s definitely the time to pick up your copy of Mass Effect 3. That’s right, less than half of the regular MSRP and you get to pick it on your preferred platform, so whether you play on 360, PS3 or PC, you’re not getting alienated. Hurry! In a press release today EA and Bioware confirm that they are indeed going to release a DLC pack that will attempt to give gamers the closure they desire. Bioware states that the DLC will include additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, though how these will be accessed has still not been discussed. Also in a move that absolutely had to happen to avoid a complete riot, the DLC itself will be free of charge. Of course stipulations are in effect to let you know that the offer expires on April 12 2014 and is only available through Origin, Xbox Live Arcade, and the Playstation Store. No solid release date was given other then a nebulous summer period. Further clarifying Bioware has made sure that people know they aren’t changing the ending, instead just offering insight and more clarity into the ending you’ve gotten already. Spoiler Note: Keep in mind that this article will discuss some of the endings and various details. Read at your own risk. Things are heating up over on the Bioware Social Network as more details emerge about the development process of Mass Effect 3. In a thread titled “Mass Effect 3: Final Hours [Pictures removed due to Copyright]” some fans have pieced together why some of the plot holes exist. There’s no clever ending being planned, or any indoctrination sub-plot that was being speculated, but rather just some terrible writing pieced together at the last minute.

While ME2 had me a bit pissed at the end over the Reaper larva and how easy it was to destroy with a hand cannon, this 3rd installment in the series has me scratching my head and pondering what the hell just happened.
Mass Effect 3 is the epic conclusion to Bioware’s colossal space opera. The game starts off six months after the events of Mass Effect 2. Commander Shepard is on Earth, he’s been grounded by the Alliance high command for destroying a Batarian colony in an attempt to slow the Reaper invasion. The game picks up when the Reapers attack Earth while Commander Shepard is briefing the defense council on the Reapers. You’re thrown right into the mix as the game’s opening sequence servers as the training section. Earth is on fire, and a large galactic fleet is Shepard’s only hope for taking it back from the Reapers. From this point on it’s up to you to decide how to go about saving Earth. The game has you traversing the galaxy in search of war assets which will aide you in the final battle. The lead up to the final battle is quite rewarding, however the ending of the series has taken much criticism from the online community. Many feel that
