My dudes, we have arrived. It was in some real peril for a while, and like, we didn’t know if it was gonna happen, but our future has been saved. The first trailer for Bill And Ted Face The Music has been released today, June the Ninth, 6-9. Sixty-nine, dudes!! Now the first thing you’ll obviously notice, dude, is the most triumphant return of the Orion logo, because it wouldn’t be a party without those stars. And speaking of stars, check this out…do we have a bodacious cast! Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have returned to once again fill the Keds of our excellent heroes. Looks like we’re really doing this. I’ve been skeptical about the stories of a third Bill and Ted, as those rumors have been thrown around for at least a decade, but now that casting decisions for the supporting roles are coming out, it seems undeniable. That phone booth is on a collision course with 2020. Of course, there aren’t many phone booths anymore. I haven’t seen a Circle K in eons. And then there’s the most painful absence of all — George Carlin. The world has changed, and not for the better. Bill and Ted apparently failed to compose the song that would unite the world. Bill And Ted 3: Face The Music Slated For 2020

Rumors of a Bill And Ted 3 have crossed our newsdesk in the past, but we’ve tossed them away because….it keeps happening and going nowhere. We’ve heard of this rumored sequel for quite a while now, with no movement on the production end — just statements from those involved with the first two, wishing the third would happen.’ Now, though, we feel confident enough to tell you there’s a strong chance Bill and Ted 3 could happen as soon as next year. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter themselves made a video to outright state this, and it was posted by the official account of the newly resurrected Orion: Well. We could really get this, dudes. Bill And Ted 3 Is Most Excellently Happening, Dudes

For quite a long time now, the crew involved with Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its bogus sequel have been talking about making a third movie. Most of them seemed to want to do it, but the final piece of the puzzle — getting the go-ahead from MGM, who holds the rights currently — was the holdup. It’s held up no longer — Bill and Ted 3, now titled Bill and Ted Face the Music, was officially announced at Cannes today. Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the writers of the original, have a new script. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are both willing. The only step left is to find a necromancer to reanimate George Carlin’s body. Bill and Ted probably know one, so that’s taken care of. Currently in pre-production, Bill & Ted Face the Music will see the duo long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family.
