Patrick Bach, Executive producer of Battlefield 3 has come out and stated that the game will looks identical and all platforms. While the Wii U version was rumored to be far greater then PS3 and Xbox 360 versions; this rumor can now be put to rest.
The full demo from the Battlefield 3 mission Thunder Run, as played by Executive Producer Patrick Bach at EA’s 2011 E3 press conference, follows new character Marine Sgt. Battlefield 3’s first initial shipment will only be Limited Editions, exactly like Battlefield: Bad Company 2. In these Limited Editions, the already announced ‘Back to Karkand Pack’ (four re-made maps from Battlefield 2) will be included. EA and DICE have released a 12 minute trailer of Battlefield 3. Don’t get too excited because a lot of the footage is pasted together, however there’s at least some context within the footage now. It’s the next true installment in the Battlefield franchise and the sequel to the 2005 acclaimed hit, Battlefield 2. DICE has always had a secret love for the PC. Ever since the first installment, Battlefield 1942, the PC community has been the reason the series flourished so well.
In the past, the Medal of Honor franchise dominated the first person shooter genre, providing an addictive multiplayer with a compelling singleplayer story arc. The latest iteration brings the theater of war to the worn-torn sands of Afghanistan. Is it mission accomplished for this reboot? Or is this invasion to your console ill-advised?
