Bethesda May Cancel Battlecry As it Re-Evaluates The Game
After making much of their upcoming game Battlecry at E3, Bethesda has been unusually quiet about the title in recent weeks and it has failed to show up at a number of difference expos and conferences. It turns out that this is because the publisher is currently re-evaluating the game to see if it will meet its expectations and that the company is actually considering cancelling the game altogether. In a statement given to Progress Bar, the publisher revealed that it was currently discussing options. “We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it,” said the statement. “We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards. The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.” Battlecry was first announced in 2014 and is the product of BattleCry Studios, a developer set up by ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda.
