NYCC 2017: Aztek Returning Via Justice League Of America
Unlike the main Justice League book, Justice League of America has been bringing in many “b-list” heroes of sorts to help deal with issues Batman (the only main League member present) deems the most pressing. This includes Lobo, The Ray, Vixen, The Atom (Ryan Choi), and more. But now, according to writer Steve Orlando at New York Comic Con, another underrated hero is going to be showing up…Aztek. Aztek was created in the 90’s by Grant Morrison believe it or not, and was even given a solo series, yet it was cancelled before the series reached a year. However, he kept showing up, including in one instance to help save the world at the cost of his life. How he’ll appear in JLA is unknown, but given that the version of The Ray is from Vanity City, which is where Aztek is from, it could be that they know each other in some fashion. It’s unclear whether it’ll be a cameo appearance or be made to mean something more.
