The musical scores for Chrono Trigger and its pseudo-sequel Chrono Cross happen to be the greatest video game soundtracks of all time. If you doubt it or you’ve somehow never heard them, they’re always on YouTube so you can play and judge for yourself. But there’s little room for debate in my book. They sound…..so…..good. Videogame music label GameLark is publishing a remix of these tracks titled At The End of Time. The album rearranges the classic tunes into a variety of styles, like surf rock, dance music, prog metal, orchestral and more. “Our goal was simple,” explains album producer Allen Brasch. “We wanted to offer listeners a unique, memorable journey whether they’ve experienced these games or not.
