Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Comes With Microtransactions
Microtransactions are something that most gamers associate with the likes of mobile games such as Candy Crush or Farmville. However, the practice has slowly been making its way into mainstream console games for some time. Early Xbox 360 Tiger Woods games included purchases that would boost stats and unlock items, while more recently games such as Pro Evolution Soccer 16 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain have included them to some degree. We also know that Halo 5: Guardians will contain some form of microtransactions so it seems like their presence is only going to become more frequent in the coming months,
Coming up in Gaming – October 2015
Now that we are approaching Christmas, many of the biggest franchises are set to receive sequels in the coming months and October is no different. The likes of Assassin’s Creed and Halo will see new games in the next month while old favourites such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero are set to return.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate DLC Will Feature Jack the Ripper
Ubisoft has officially announced some new add-on content for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Since the game is conveniently set in Victorian Era London in the 1800s, it is pretty much a no brainer that the DLC will feature a campaign involving the horrific mystery that was Jack the Ripper, the world’s most infamous serial killer. In London, the Jack the Ripper murders took place in Whitechapel in 1888, while the events of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate are set in 1868. In other words, the events of the Jack the Ripper DLC have been confirmed as taking place 20 years after the events in the main game.
Journey Composer to Create Music Score for Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Ubisoft officially announced today that Austin Wintory, the music composer for such games as Journey and The Banner Saga, is set to compose the score for the next upcoming installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. In addition, Ubisoft will be released the game’s soundtrack along with Syndicate next month after it launches.

One of the big attractions for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is that one of the playable characters is Evie Frye, a female Assassin character. While there have been playable female Assassin characters before in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, they have not been playable in one of the mainline games of the franchise before. In fact, the lack of playable female Assassin characters was a major point of contention and controversy among fans for the last major game release in the series, Assassin’s Creed Unity.
