Arrow Video Reveals February Offerings

To say there are a lot of streamers out there right now is an understatement. One of the lesser-known options is Arrow Video, a company that specializes in distributing cult and indie cinema — usually on physical home video formats, but they’re now jumping on the bandwagon like everybody else. What can you get from Arrow Video’s streaming channel? Lots of crazy things. Arrow shared with us their list of additions for February. They include Dave Made A Maze, a comedy about a frustrated artist who creates a fort in his house out of sheer boredom, but then gets lost and trapped in it. Dave Made A Maze stars Nick Thune and was directed by Bill Watterson (no, not that one). There’s also A Ghost Waits, written and directed by Adam Stovall and starring MacLeod Andrews. In the film, a handyman is hired to renovate a broken-down house. He quickly finds out the reason no one’s interested in the house has nothing to do with its condition — it’s because

Why Don’t You Just Watch This Clip From Why Don’t You Just Die!

In the dark Russian comedy Why Don’t You Just Die!, young Matvey loves his girlfriend, but the first time meeting her parents didn’t go too well. In fact, her father Andrey completely despises him and would never approve of marriage. Matvey decides Andrey is an obstacle that must be eliminated, and prepares to enter his apartment with a hammer to bludgeon him to death. Andrey is equally hungry to murder Matvey! And so they spend most of the film’s runtime taking swings at each other. Originally, Arrow had a theatrical tour scheduled for Why Don’t You Just Die! that would have started on April 10. But the merciless forces of nature had other plans, and so the movie will debut on demand first. The new date of release is April 20. “Despite our exaggerated use of genre tropes and all the flashy effects, Why Don’t You Just Die! remains, for me, an incredibly personal and sincere story,” explains writer/director Kirill Sokolov. “The film’s inherent violence is the result of reflection

But it’s easy for the fearful mind to run wild with negative stereotypes of places we’ve never been, and we’re sure the new Russian import from Arrow Video will dispel all notions of…..well, actually, never mind.
