It’s time for another edition of “Things Simon Kinsberg Says!” Yes, he’s at it again. First he talked about Fantastic Four, then about Deadpool, now, he’s talking about the X-Men. With the next installment of the revitalized franchise hitting theaters May 27th next year, there’s a lot of hype building up for it. Especially with this movie serving as an ending for many characters, and kicking off storylines for others.
Singularity – The advent of Artificial Intelligence that exceeds that of its human creators. Along with becoming smarter than humans, these computers and machines also gain sentience and break free from the control of their human creators. Civilization is forever changed – but for better or worse is up for debate.
In this latest developer diary from THQ and Vigil Games, we get a better look at new protagonist Death and his motivations. Essentially, he wants to erase the supposed crimes of his brother by bringing all of mankind back to life. How he intends to accomplish this is beyond me, but I can’t wait to see it first hand when the game launches this June.
According to a blog post on Darksiders II’s official website, the game’s release has been pushed back from June to August. This of course makes me incredibly sad and happy at the same time. Sad that I wont be able to play it as soon as I’d hoped, and happy that the game will be getting the polish it needs. I’m so conflicted right now. As quoted on their site,
The title of this story pretty much says it all. As one of my most anticipated titles of 2012, Darksiders 2 pretty much looks to outclass its predecessor in every possible respect. You gotta hand it to Vigil, they sure aren’t holding back. Check out the trailers below.(more…)
THQ has just announced that Darksiders II will be available in both Limited and Collector’s editon forms. The Limited edition is available to anyone who pre-orders the game and it comes with a voucher for the Argul’s Tomb DLC. Thankfully, unlike many other publishers who love to cut content and then resell it to you later, the Argul’s Tomb DLC will not be available day one. A bit like Battlefield 3 and its Back to Karkand expansion, this voucher simply guarantees you a free download of the DLC once it’s available online.
Ubisoft has just released a new developer diary for I Am Alive, and all in all I’d say it’s looking pretty fantastic. I’m a big personal fan of post-apocalyptic settings in games and film, and this downloadable title looks to bring a few interesting things to the genre that I haven’t seen before. You’ll be able to brandish empty pistols and hang from bridges when I Am Alive becomes available for download March 7th on Playstation Network and Xbox Live.(more…)

Sony has been teasing us about this game for quite some time now. First they released a few teaser videos, which many assumed would be some sort of zombie type of game. This week we saw the first screenshots and wow do they look stunning. So who exactly is developing this game?
