How Ridley Scott Plans To Work Ripley Into The Alien Prequels
Ridley Scott has decided he’s just going to keep making Alien prequels until he’s either dead or too weak to continue. The problem is as long as Fox is occupied with making prequels, we can’t get a SE-quel, meaning Sigourney Weaver is just sitting there while the precious remaining years of her life tick away. ….Though I guess CG-ing her back to life is always an option. According to Scott, though, the prequels won’t be entirely Ripley-free. Most of his planned story ideas take place decades before Ellen is even born, let alone in her 60’s — but her existence will fit into the plot eventually. This is what Scott recently said about that: We’re heading toward the back end of the first Alien so [computers] may be feasible. I don’t think it’ll… but Ripley’s going to be somebody’s daughter.
