It’s been a long wait, but the Adventure Time spinoff Fionna and Cake is almost done. We’ve been waiting two years since the announcement was first made, but technically the wait started back in 2011 when Ice King showed off his fanfiction of a gender-bent Finn and Jake to his captive penguin audience.
You can technically start watching HBO Max right now, but in our opinion, the streaming channel won’t be worthy of our remotes until BMO arrives. A continuation miniseries for Adventure Time was announced last year, and the first of four specials is about to hit. Each of them focuses on a specific character from the series, starting with the walking computer box of legend.
Adventure Time seemed to be ending for good about a year ago. Cartoon Network never officially billed the last episode as the LAST episode, referring to it as “The Ultimate Adventure” instead, but given the seismic events and the wrap-up of everybody’s arcs, all signs pointed to the show bowing out. There was also the fact that it wasn’t in production anymore.
In the coming weeks Cartoon Network will be airing the very last episode of Adventure Time….but before that, they’ll be putting out the latest tie-in phone game. Bloons Adventure Time TD is the name, a crossover between the Bloons series and the land of Ooo.
Adventure Time may be over as a series, but its games are still going strong! For Outright Games and Cartoon Network today shared the first official trailer while revealing that Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion will be available on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, Xbox One™ and PC on July 17 in the US and July 20 globally.
Outright Games officially announced today that the company is partnering with Cartoon Network for new games for consoles and PC based on Cartoon Network shows and properties, including Adventure Time and Ben 10. Outright Games plans on creating new games and experiences for fans of Adventure Time and Ben 10.

The franchise is getting a new video game called Adventure Time: Finn & Jake Investigations. Little Orbit has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming title, which you can check out below.
Cartoon Network, currently the greatest cable network in the world, has formally announced its show lineup for 2015 and even a bit of 2016. It’s a mix of new and returning favorites, some of which haven’t been on the network for some time. Also included are a handful of third-party acquisitions that are guaranteed to be thrown into the morning hours and not promoted at all until they run their course.
