Developer Greywolf and publisher Iceberg Interactive have announced Pax Nova, their latest 4X strategy game for the PC. 4X is a branch of the strategy genre that stands for “Explore, Expand, Exploit and Exterminate,” to give you an idea of what your goals are. It’s a big universe, and it won’t conquer itself.
The latest Endless Space 2 update has arrived on Steam and introduces two brand new class of ships to the action for the very first time. The fighters and bombers add a new tactical layer to encounters, as they are able to give you a strategic advantage over certain cruisers and bigger ships. As a bonus, explosions from these ship battles are now much bigger to provide some extra drama into proceedings.
It is somewhat difficult to review Thea: the Awakening for the simple reason that it is unlike almost any other game. It combines elements of an RPG, 4X strategy game, base management simulator, and card battler together to create an experience that is certainly different from most other games you are likely to have played recently.
Endless Space 2, the sequel to the acclaimed 2012 4X strategy game, is set to launch on Steam as an Early Access title. The game will be available from October 6 and will include four of the planned eight factions that will appear in the full release.
Another new game is released with obvious bugs and glaring issues. This time it’s Sword of the Stars 2 that is the latest new release to be plagued with multiple release problems, with issues ranging from missing features to the beta version being uploaded for distribution on release day!
