Oculus, the company behind the virtual reality headset Oculus Rift, have today updated their official Kickstarter page with news that the company have acquired Carbon Design Group – the award winning company who worked in partnership with Microsoft to help develop the controller for the Xbox 360.

If you haven’t gotten around to it yet, now’s definitely the time to pick up your copy of Mass Effect 3.
After the seemingly endless onslaught of negativity that the title had received prior to release, I reached out to publisher Lexis Numérique to procure a download of survival-horror AMY that had been critically lambasted for being too buggy, and not simply just difficult.
These new Far Cry 3 trailers from publisher Ubisoft paint a beautiful yet grim picture of the sequel’s hellish island location. The first video gives us another look at Vaas, the insane antagonist of last year’s E3 trailer, while the second gives us some much appreciated gameplay. Be sure to check both of them out below!
Activision has announced a Collector’s Edition for the upcoming open-world slaughterfest Prototype 2. Entitled the “Blackwatch Edition”, this version of the game comes packed with the same content as the pre-order exclusive RADNET edition as well as an artbook, soundtrack CD, DLC vouchers, and a digital comic all for $79.99. Activision has released a new trailer for Prototype 2, which currently has a set release date of April 24th in the US and April 27th in Europe.

With all the terrible missteps of the most recent generation of gaming it’s sometimes hard to remember the awesome stuff that the 360, PS3 and Wii have brought us. My favorite of the bunch has to be, hands down, Achievements. While the updated graphics, the addition of Netflix and Hulu, and the great push for downloadable games are all great stuff; it’s trophies and achievements that really first captured my attention.
