343 Industries has taken a rather unique approach to updating Halo 5: Guardians and releasing new content for the title. 343 Industries had something of a difficult task in redeeming their reputation and persuading millions of players that they were up to the task of taking over the Halo franchise. When the original creators, Bungie, left to go and create their very own shooter in the form of Destiny, the studio was put together by Microsoft specifically to carry on developing future games in the series. While they certainly didn’t cause too much harm with the release of Halo 4, their first attempt didn’t exactly set the world on fire either. Meanwhile a disastrous launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection raised many questions about whether the developer was capable of handling such responsibility.
Halo 5: Guardians won’t be receiving any sort of campaign downloadable content, as developer 343 Industries wants to focus on other aspects of the game for expansions. While it’s not uncommon for games to take up huge amounts of storage pace when they are installed on next generation consoles, they usually don’t come anywhere near the size that Halo 5: Guardians will reportedly be. According to images found off the official box art by NeoGAF users the title will require 60 GB of hard drive space to be installed, meaning you may have to delete some content from your Xbox One hard drive if you want to play the highly anticipated game.

While Halo 5 is sure to Microsoft’s biggest release this year as it attempts to win back customers to the Xbox One, some fans are disappointed that the game is cutting back on some features. One of these is split-screen, a feature that has been ever present in the Halo series since the very first release, Halo: Combat Evolved. Not only did the games allow for local co-operative play but the series has established itself as one of the only large releases that allows players to host multiplayer matches with up to three others on the same console.
