Studio 666 : Foo Fighters have gone Meta
Studio 666 is coming to theaters this February 25th. It is a Meta horror Comedy where the members of the band Foo Fighters are playing themselves. If you enjoyed This is the end, this is right in your alley.
It is a great way to introduce themselves to a new generation of audience. It is hard to imagine but a lot of kids born in the early 2000s are adults now and they were not born in the 90s. So a lot of Gen Z is not familiar with Foo Fighters or Dave Grohl‘s former band Nirvana. Jenna Ortega, Whitney Cummings, and many more also join the cast.
Dave Grohl is no stranger to acting. He had shown his acting chops in Comedy in many of Foo Fighters’ library of Music videos. Studio 666 promises a fun-watching experience and you don’t have to be a fan of Foo Fighters to see its potential. The trailer has nothing but positive comments from people who are not even familiar with the band. A side of me wishes they have done a film back during their prime but better late than never as this looks exciting.
Studio 666 Trailer
Members of the Band played themselves in Studio 666. Foo Fighters is about to write their 10t studio album but David Grohl is suffering from Writer’s block. He is running out of ideas for melodies and lyrics. So the band decided to stay at the Encino mansion to concentrate on making new material. Little did they know, this mansion has more than Rock and Roll history.
A demon-possessed David (Ironic because he played Satan in the Tenacious D Music video, tribute) and he has been killing off his band members and everyone in the mansion one by one. The Soundtrack of the movie will be the official 10th album of the band.
