Student reaches Borderlands 2’s level cap in record-setting 43 hours
Ever heard of Matthew ‘Blitz’ Siegfried? No, we hadn’t either, until he became the first person in the world to max-out his Borderlands 2 character – in less than 2 days!
The dedicated OSU student from Columbus, Ohio, began his mammoth, self-set challenge on September 18th at 00:30, starting at Level 1 with no pre-earned bonuses or equipment. Going it alone, and without intermission, he hit Level 50 on September 19th at 19:45, which took him 43 hours, 15 minutes and 23 seconds of uninterrupted playing time to do.
Blitz isn’t your typical hardcore gamer, though. He is in fact a multi-genre, multi-console speed runner, high-score chaser and tournament player that has notched over 2000 #1 rankings in more than 200 games, including World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Diablo 3, Portal 2 and Red Dead Redemption. We also found out that he’s an aspiring athlete, and has a cat named ‘Kitty’. N’awww.
Video proof of this young man’s incredible accomplishment can be found on Record Setter. Have you got the skills to do it quicker?
