Street Fighter V to Receive Rage Quit Penalty
Per Eurogamer, Capcom is going to be adding a type of rage quitting penalty for Street Fighter V. This means there will be a type of system in place to punish gamers who quit matches early. There hasn’t been one in place since the game initially launched last February of this year.
Previously, Capcom added a system to identify players who had a high disconnect rate during matches and lock them out of matchmaking for a certain period of time. The system however was pretty lenient. In addition, it didn’t identify what kind of disconnect rates would be noticed by the system.
The new update being added to the game soon will add a rage quit penalty to deter players from rage quitting during gameplay. The penalty for rage quitting in Street Fighter V will lead to a loss in League Points. Also, players will be locked out of online matchmaking for a certain period of time.
There will also be some new, stricter guidelines in the game for gamers who disconnect before a match is over. This means that if people are rage quitting in Street Fighter V, they will be identified and punished.
Street Fighter V is available now for Windows PC and PlayStation 4.
