Street Fighter V Champion Edition Launches On PS4 And Steam
If you’re a Street Fighter Follower, you know the drill by now: Capcom releases a new game, then releases eighteen upgraded variations of that game. Street Fighter V has followed that predictable pattern by becoming Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and now Street Fighter V Champion Edition.
But unlike the SNES days, it’s not as unfair as it sounds. You can actually upgrade your existing copy of Street Fighter V to the Champion Edition by purchasing a digital Upgrade Kit. That was a privilege only arcade owners could enjoy back in the day.
If you don’t own any version of Street Fighter V, the Champion Edition is the one you want. It contains all the content introduced to the original game and the Arcade Edition, which adds up to 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes. The 40th character, Seth, is brand new, and can also be purchased separately for a previous version of SFV.
Seth has been added as the 40th character to appear in Street Fighter V; this master move mimicker returns with a new physical form in Champion Edition. The boss character from Street Fighter™ IV, Seth’s biological brain has been paired with Doll Unit Zero as the intelligence continues to seek new data and install moves from the fiercest fighters in the world.
Street Fighter V Champion Edition is available now for Playstation 4 and PC.
