Stranger Things Wakes Up From Its Nap With Sudden Teaser
It’s been a long looooong time since we last heard from Stranger Things — and though the delay was unavoidable for everyone, it’s kind of a problem when you’re producing a show whose stars are child actors. Even worse when it’s a period piece. Recent photos of Millie Bobby Brown have her looking like she’s 20 years old — boy, will Eleven have a growth spurt between 1985 and 1986.
The last time a teaser for Season Four was released was sometime in 2020 when a shot of Hopper doing hard time in a Russian labor camp was shown. Then there was nothing, because the Hopper scenes were all they could get done before COVID shut down the world. But they were able to resume filming late last fall, and it appears now the season is on track enough to start teasing it again (which could mean a release date may not be far off).
Yesterday, Netflix sent out the message “Due to technical difficulties, Hawkins National Laboratory will be closed until further notice. We will be back in service tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. ET.” And around that time today, a new teaser appeared. Have a look at this:
Is the Hawkins School For Gifted Children somehow back in operation? If so, how? If El is seeing this with her powers, then that confirms she has powers again (like there was ever any doubt; even the people on the show didn’t believe it was permanent). On the other hand, this could very well be a flashback fakeout — it’s staged like one.
We must be close to getting answers. We’ll fill you in on more regarding Stranger Things Season 4 as transmissions leak out.
