Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Now On Steam
With the release of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for consoles in late 2021, Square Enix took their most popular franchise where it had never gone before — Soulslike action combat. Instead of turn-based or active-time battling via a menu, your character must attack vicious, powerful enemies in real time, delivering violent blows while dodging their own. Like Dark Souls, Stranger of Paradise is incredibly difficult — but that’s what fans of the genre like.
The game debuted as a console exclusive, but after a few months, a PC version was offered on the Epic Games Store. For those who don’t Epic Game, the exclusivity period is over and, as thanks for your patience, Stranger of Paradise will be sold on Steam at a reduced price of $39.99. That’s not a first-week discount, that’s the price.
Everything included with the other versions of the game is also included here. There are multiple difficulty modes, a wide range of job classes, and a Season Pass which will grant access to three additional storylines.
-
The different weapons determine the job of the character when equipped.
-
Get new abilities and jobs through a character enhancement system called the Job Tree.
-
-
Players can go through a wide range of jobs and choose two which they can switch during battle.
-
Using magic spells is also another effective strategy.
-
-
Prepare for battle by acquiring and equipping more powerful gear.
-
Collect various weapons from treasure chests or by defeating enemies.
-
-
Each boss has its own unique movements.
-
Identifying the enemy’s swift moves and effectively utilizing soul shield and various abilities.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available now for PC through Steam. As for whether it’s Deck compatible, who the heck knows — the Steam page says nothing about that (which usually means it isn’t compatible, but sometimes it is).
