Star Wars: Uprising Mobile RPG Game Announced
Lucasfilm and Kabam have announced a new Star Wars mobile video game, Star Wars: Uprising. Now what might entice fans and players a little more is that Star Wars: Uprising is actually a new game experience set between the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, due out later this year.
Based on the new announcement trailer, the game is set following the Battle of Endor and the death of Emperor Palpatine. The Anoat sector has been locked down by the remnants of the Empire. The Rebel Alliance is on the other side of the Iron Blockade, so the sector’s smugglers, freedom fighters, bounty hunters and gangsters join forces to form an uprising.
The game will feature new characters and battle through such locations as Hoth, Cloud City and Burnin Konn. Players will be able to create and customize their own characters. Kabam also promises the game will have synchronous cooperative play with friends. Star Wars: Uprising will also feature a cool looking new Imperial trooper character named Commander Brag, the leader of the new Purge Troopers. It is always interesting to see new characters and aspects of the Imperial forces as this game will explore.
A release for the game has not yet been announced for the game. It will be available for Android and iOS. The CG cinematic announcement trailer is available in the player below.
