Star Wars Battlefront: Gameplay Launch Trailer Released
During this week’s Paris Games Week 2015 conference, Electronic Arts and DICE revealed the official gameplay launch trailer for Star Wars Battlefront. You can check out the new trailer, featuring new gameplay footage, in the player below.
The trailer release comes off shortly after the announcement that Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo and Emperor Palpatine have been added to the game as playable Legendary Star Wars Hero and Villain characters in the game. They join the likes of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
The trailer features some voice-over of Emperor Palpatine and Admiral Ackbar rallying the troops on their respective sides: the Imperial Army; and the Rebel Alliance. This is followed by a montage of battle footage in the game. There is one amusing clip showing Boba Fett in action on Tattooine almost falling into the Sarlacc Pit, remarking, “That won’t happen again.” There is also some new footage of Emperor Palpatine going into battle, along with Princess Leia.
Star Wars Battlefront finally arrives on November 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The first expansion for the game, The Battle of Jakku, will be available on December 1 to players who pre-ordered the game, and December 8 for everyone else. That’s just in time to get everyone ready for the arrival of the new theatrical Star Wars sequel, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
