Spectre: New Trailer and Images Show James Bond 007 Back in Action
Sony Pictures and MGM Studios have dropped the latest trailer for the new James 007 film, Spectre. You can check out the full action packed video in the player below.
The new footage offers a greater look on what is at stake in the film. After receiving a cryptic message, James Bond (Daniel Craig) goes on a rogue mission to Mexico City, it seems during Dia de los Muertos, and eventually Rome. He meets Lucia Sciarria (Monica Bellucci), the widow of an infamous criminal. Bond looks to infiltrate a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of a sinister terrorist organization called SPECTRE, which fans of the James Bond film franchise will remember from the classic 1960s films. It was a nefarious criminal and spy organization led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Bond’s archenemy.
Bond has to deal with the new head of Centre for National Security, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), back in London, and Denbigh does not approve of 007’s actions, challenging his relevance to MI6. As a result, Bond then enlists the help of Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him find Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux). Interestingly enough, Sony Pictures revealed in their new synopsis that Swann is in fact the daughter of QUANTUM member Mr. White (Jesper Christensen). Mr. White is back in this film and seems to have a mysterious connection to SPECTRE. He has not been seen since escaping Bond’s captivity in the 2008 film Quantum of Solace. Bond looks to untangle the web of SPECTRE, but learns a chilling connection between himself and the enigmatic enemy he seeks, Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz). Many suspect that Oberhauser is in fact the new cinematic version of Blofeld, but that remains to be seen.
Spectre hits theaters on November 6. Besides the trailer. You can also check out some new photo stills from the film below, courtesy of Sony Pictures.
