Sony Demonstrates Augmented Reality Technology
Today Sony demonstrated their newly upgraded Augmented reality. They call it “Smart AR”, reason being is that markers are no longer needed for the object to be drawn out. This new and improved technology can recognize nearly any real-life object and still function as if it were a place marker. Check out the video after the jump

Pretty impressive stuff. Not only did it not need a marker, but it is also able to maintain a high speed of recognition without any disruption. Of course this works better on more flat objects, such as a poster or a card.
