Sony delays DRIVECLUB until early 2014
In yet another round of delays, SCE Worldwide Studios and developer Evolution Studios have confirmed delaying the launch of DRIVECLUB, a PlayStation 4 launch title, until early 2014.
President of SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida broke the news about the delay in a new blog post on the PlayStation blog citing reasons that the team would require more time to make DRIVECLUB a “truly innovative, socially connected racing game.”
Yoshida assures gamers that the delay while disappointing, will ensure that DRIVECLUB realizes their next gen vision and that the extra time will mean that the visuals and the overall experience of the game will only be better.
The decision to delay DRIVECLUB will also affect PlayStation Plus members’ Instant Game Collection for the PlayStation 4 launch but the DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition will still be part of the Instant Game Collection when the game releases in 2014.
However, it is not all bad news. When the PlayStation 4 launches, PlayStation 4 members will get Resogun and Contrast, highly anticipated game from Compulsion Games for free.
