Sony has since removed the claim that Watch Dogs will run at 60 frames per second and in 1080p. However, Sony does still insists that the PS4 will offer “the best graphics on any console…in a way that only the PS4 can provide.”
Original story: Watch Dogs will run at 60 frames per second and in 1080p on the PlayStation 4, Sony has said.
Writing on PlayStation.com, Sony has claimed that the PS4 is the only console that is able to run Watch Dogs at that setting, implying that other consoles and platforms might not be able to.
The world of Watch_Dogs comes alive on PS4 with the best graphics on any console and exclusive missions found only on PlayStation. Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago’s underground as you experience Watch_Dogs in a way only PS4 can provide, at 60 Frames per second in 1080p.
Ubisoft has so far kept mum about how their game would run on the various consoles but has been working with Nvidia to provide free copies of Watch Dogs with selected purchases of GeForce GTX graphics cards.
Watch Dogs will be available on May 27th on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. A Wii U release is scheduled though no release date has been set yet.
