Somebody I used to know… No I am not talking about the 2011 break up song
Somebody I used to know is a creative collaboration between Alison Brie and her husband Dave Franco. Dave’s directorial and writing debut after a career as an actor, and his wife also appears in the film. I’m still angry at Netflix for canceling Glow.
I’m pleased that Alison Brie will be back on our screens thanks to Amazon Prime. The story of the movie could have gone perfectly with the lyrics of the same-named Gotye and Kimbra hit. What a missed opportunity for the soundtrack. This romantic comedy looks at what happens when you put your career ahead of your relationships and lose yourself and the people you care about. The movie is rated R so expect a lot of nudity from Alison Brie and Kiersey Clemons.
Also starring this film are some familiar faces like Haley Joel Osment,Ayden Mayeri, Olga Merediz and Zoe Chao.
Somebody I used to know Official Trailer
Ally (Alison Brie) use to have a blissful relationship with her ex-fiance Sean (Jay Ellis). Although it was the happiest moment of her life, it is now in the past and cannot be changed. Because of her drive, she put her ambitions first and put her relationship on the back burner. Because she is unhappy with the person she has become, she decides to travel back to her childhood home in order to find herself.
Her former self has been reduced to a frazzled and workaholic husk. She ran into her ex-boyfriend Sean, who is now engaged to another woman; this is evidence that the world is indeed a small place. Even though she is Jay’s ex-girlfriend, Cassidy (Kiersey Clemons) does not behave in a hostile manner toward her. They become friends, and as their relationship develops, the more time she spends with her, the more she is reminded of the previous version of herself. Ally was aware of Cassidy’s carefree and outgoing personality, and she admired it. The women became fast friends immediately. Somebody I used to know will be in Amazon Prime video this coming February 10, 2023.
