Skylanders Ring Of Heroes Now Available In The US
The Skylanders have officially gone mobile: Skylanders Ring Of Heroes has been released in America on iOS and Android platforms. Though it’s missing the figure element (because the toy-to-game genre has fadded itself out), Ring of Heroes maintains the same gameplay elements players loved about the originals.
Strangely, the US is one of the last to get the game. Skylanders Ring Of Heroes came out in Canada, Australia and New Zealand last December. Now we’re caught up to the rest of the world: 120 countries in total can play this game.
Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is a turn-based, action RPG adventure based on the IP of Activision’s famous console game. The mobile version will bring back some great memories of Skylanders by featuring 80 different characters from the original story. Not only this, the game will expand the level of strategies by introducing an “Awaken” system which will further enhance the Skylanders ability and charm.
Players will dive into the world as Portal Masters, the guardians of Skylands, and set out on an adventure to track down the villain Kaos and retrieve the stolen Book of Dark Magic. Play through the ten-part story, control your favourite characters, challenge yourself in dungeons, or fight your way to the top in global PVP.
Strategise your tactics by unlocking and upgrading a wide range of character elements and skill combinations. Brand new to the series, Skylanders™ fans will be able to see the ‘awakened’ forms of their favourite Skylanders.
“We’re really excited to see how Skylanders Ring of Heroes will perform in western markets, as the IP is already well-established there,” says Casey Lee, vice president of COM2US USA. “We’ll certainly do our best to provide Skylanders Fans and mobile RPG fans with a fun RPG experience so that you can bring your favorite Skylanders Squad into your mobile device.”
Skylanders Ring of Heroes is downloadable now on the App Store and Google Play. If you preordered the game you’ll get Spyro instantly; if not, you’ll have to work for him.
