The developers for Ship of Heroes released a new development video showcasing teaming with persistence and combat. You can check out the new gameplay development video for the upcoming superhero MMO game in the player below.
The video showcases the feature of persistent teaming in the game. This occurs if players are on a team and get disconnected. They will be able to reappear in the game and still be on the same team. The video showcases other parts of the game’s MMO components, including inviting players to team, kicking players off of the team, dealing with disconnects, team XP, dust rewards, the level-up system, and the persistence gameplay. The video also features some of the new user-interface elements as well.
For the team combat, the game will have traditional roles of tanks, ranged damage, melee damage, and support characters. So far, the game will have more than 40 superpowers in total. So, the game is definitely starting to take shape and more coding improvements have been made based on this latest video.
The Ship of Heroes developers are also promising to reveal new features in August, including mission instancing for teams, new features for the character creator, and new costume pieces as well. The first alpha build is expected to be ready by September, and players will even be able to start creating characters for the game at that time.
Ship of Heroes is set to begin Alpha testing by the end of 2017. The game does not yet have a release period as of yet.
