Second Annual XPO Game Festival Announced
The gaming industry is large enough these days that wherever you go, there is usually a con targeted at gamers. There’s even one in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mind, though, that Tulsa didn’t have one until recently. Last year the first-ever XPO Game Festival was held, and no one knew if it would attract a crowd. It did and then some — more than 1,600 people attended the first show. It featured panel discussions from Blizzard, Epic Games, Daybreak Game Company, Boss Key Productions, GamesRadar+, thatgamecompany, and more, as well as demo kiosks for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR headsets. This year they’re prepared for the crowd, and preparing a bigger showing.
Matt Stockman, event manager for the XPO Game Festival), says “We’re thrilled to give our attendees a bigger and better XPO. We learned a lot last year, and we can’t wait to implement some of the helpful suggestions we received. You can tell that there’s a ton of excitement around here. XPO is a very visible example of Tulsa’s vast yet somewhat untapped potential to host innovative startups and world-class game studios.”
The next XPO doesn’t happen until October, but tickets are on sale now. Until September 1, Early Bird weekend passes can be purchased for $65. Single Day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) passes are available for $35 each. We don’t have footage of the 2017 XPO to show you….because it hasn’t happened yet. But the festival has put together this trailer featuring footage from the inaugural event….it should kinda be like this:
The XPO Game Festival runs at Tulsa’s Cox Business Center from October 13-15. Preorder your tickets at xpotulsa.com.
