SDCC 2018: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Panel Recap
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is a very different kind of film for Marvel, for it’s an animated film, and one that will feature many different characters of the Spider-Man universe, and multiverse, including the movie debut of Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen. The film also features a unique visual style that is sure to get many excited. So with it coming out this December, it should be no surprise that the film was at San Diego Comic-Con, complete with the cast.

“It’s Peter Parker at 40, it’s Peter Parker with a bad back..and who’s not sure if he still wants to be Spider-Man, and what it means to be Spider-Man after the excitement of being Spider-Man,” Jake Johnson said during the panel. “That just got really heavy, folks. But that’s Peter Parker. It’s chubby Peter Parker.”
“I get to play a female superhero, which was pretty cool–and not just any female superhero, but the first Spider-Woman,” Hailee Stenfield said. “That was so exciting to me, and the fact that she really is the toughest and the coolest and the smartest and the most capable one in the room, and she knows it.”
