Earlier, we noted the reveal trailer for the zombie mode in Call of Duty: WWII. But now, via a panel at San Diego Comic Con, we have even more information about the mode, and apparently, this will be the scariest mode in the series yet.
“The number of times we think you’re going to maybe pee a little is going to be more than what you’ve experienced before,” Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey said,
For them, they learned from their past game, Dead Space, on how to make the new zombie mode. They wanted to build up tension, make you feel every moment go by you, and then fear what was coming. They also went on to note that they changed up how they made the mode to up the stakes, guide players in the right way, and to up the fear factor:
“We’ve made two big structural changes,” said Jon Horsley. “We onboard players in a more education[al] way so you understand the game better. We have a more layered map than most. And we’re probably the least campy and most terrifying.”
And apparently, there is not just a “secret world”, there is a bunch of Easter Eggs to find, but you have to look hard to see them.
