Sam Raimi Open To Helping Marvel With Spider-Man Solo Films
With Phase 3 on the way (starting next May with Civil War) numerous Marvel fans are eagerly waiting the return of the Marvel Cinematc Universe. But more than that, they can’t wait for the arrival of Spider-Man, who will make his debut in Civil War, then go on to solo films.
Ironically, the man who made the original Spider-Man films, Sam Raimi, revealed to The Week that he’d be more than willing to help make the new solo films. Not only for the fans, but because in his mind, he didn’t do well with Spider-Man 3.
“I messed up on the third one,” Raimi said. “I think they’re so complete now, Marvel. They probably don’t need me anymore. But if they needed me? I’d love to. It’s great to be wanted.”
He does know that he’s not exactly up to date in regards to both the films and the comic interpretations of Spider-Man.
“I’m not really on top of it,” he told me. “I know they made two [Amazing Spider-Man] features, and obviously, I’ve seen those.”
So what do you think? Should Sam Raimi get another chance at Spider-Man? He did make the first two pretty incredible, let us know what you think in the comments!
