Rune: Ragnarok Announced by Human Head Studios
Human Head Studios officially announced a new open-world RPG this week called Rune: Ragnarok. The game is the studio’s follow-up to Rune. You can also check out a new announcement trailer for the game in the player below.
Rune: Ragnarok will be a sandbox, open-world role-playing game. It’s set in a dangerous Norse Universe during the end of days, or Ragnarok. Players will take part in an epic battle with gods, beasts, and the last remaining humans in a fight for survival.
Players can pledge allegiance to one of the Norse gods to try and gain favor and abilities to aid them to raid enemy villages. The game will feature brutal melee combat, allow players to go to new areas, and craft weapons to complete goals and try to conclude Ragnarok.
Speaking on the announcement, Project Director Chris Rhineheart stated in a press release, “After seventeen years, we are thrilled to finally announce a new Rune game. In the spirit of the original, Rune: Ragnarok has intense and brutal combat in a world steeped in Norse mythology. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve created.”
ESDF Management is financing the game’s development. More details can be found at runeragnarok.com. The game is in the works for Windows PC. It’s release date will be revealed later on.
