Rotation Game DOWNWARDS in Development for iOS
Independent game developer Studio Downwards has announced the development of DOWNWARDS, an original game for iOS.
More than just a simple platformer, DOWNWARDS uses physical movement of the iPhone or iPod itself to solve puzzles. A player guides the robot avatar on screen through each level to reach the exit. With the additional unique mechanic of rotating the device to change the direction of gravity, DOWNWARDS adds an additional dimension to puzzles and platform navigation, allowing for a new mindset to be applied to a familiar genre.
Featuring original art with a digital-cute aesthetic, DOWNWARDS follows a fearless and cute antivirus robot on a mission to protect your iPhone from the dangerous clutches of his evil equivalent, the menacing (and equally cute) virus robot VIRULZ. Through over 20 levels, our brave little herobot must traverse obstacles, open locked doors, and avoid being crushed by data blocks while navigating the digital landscape to find the threat and save your precious technology.
