Rise of the Tomb Raider: Full Gamescom Demo Video Released
At last week’s Gamescom 2015 event, Xbox and Square Enix revealed a new extended gameplay demo for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Well the complete video of the demo has now been released online, and you can check it out in full in the player below.
In the Rise of the Tomb Raider video, Lara Croft is searching for something in a war torn region in Syria. However, it appears her driver leaked her clandestine arrival, and some military choppers attack her ride. Her driver is killed, and the Tomb Raider has to make a hasty escape. After some rock-climbing, Croft discovers her destination and investigates what appears to be an ancient, underground tomb. The footage definitely gives off a sort of Uncharted vibe. Croft delves further into the tomb and then discovers what appears to be an ancient hidden city or temple area called the Hidden Oasis. However, the militia choppers are still after her, so Croft has to evade them. There is a montage of Croft searching the temple, and then a look at what appears to be the game’s villain. Croft definitely appears that she will have her work cut out for her for this new adventure.
Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 13 as a timed platform exclusive. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 about a year later for a holiday 2016 release. The Windows PC release will be launched in early 2016.
