Retro Shooter Lil Tanks Hits Steam
The arcade-inspired side-scrolling shooter LIL TANKS is now available on Steam. The game features a classic, throwback style with pixellated artwork and classic side-scrolling action.
The game is now available for a discounted price on Windows PC via Steam, and gamers can purchase it now for $7.99. The story follows an alien force called the Cuur that has invaded Earth to terraform the planet. It’s now reshaping the terrain and tinkering with the atmosphere. Humanity has come together in a last-ditch effort to save the earth with a prototype program called the Lil Tanks.
The gameplay puts players into the middle of a battlefield where they have to use quick reflexes and weapon mastery in order to win. The game features over 20 unique enemies, such as laser turrets, aircraft, mechs, and deadly bosses. The game features four different environments, such as deserts, swamps, tundras and volcanic wastes. The game can be played solo or with a friend via local co-op player.
Another interesting feature is a robust RPG system. Players will have the ability to level up and equip upgrades for their tanks, such as shields, double shots, speed boosters, triple shots, and more. Levels do not reset upon death. Players can also collect various power-ups that enemies will drop.
Lil Tanks is available now for PC, Mac and Linux on Steam for $7.99. The game will return to its original price of $9.99 in one week on April 11. You can check out a sample of the gameplay in the trailer below.
