Capcom has released some gory, new gameplay videos for Resident Evil Revelations 2 featuring some of the game’s signature new monsters. The latest videos for the upcoming sequel are available below.
The videos showcase the new enemies the Orthrus and the Sploder. The Orthrus appears to be like a nasty, mutant pig or boar with spiky like protrusions sprouting out of its body. The Sploder is a bi-pedal creature that as you can probably guess from its name, explodes. It is like a walking mass of ugliness that explodes in a torrent of disgusting flesh, gore, blood, puss and vile.
The first episode of the game’s release was slightly delayed recently by one week. Episode One for Resident Evil Revelations 2 will now be available online on February 24 for the PlayStation Network and February 25 for Xbox Live and Steam. The individual episodes will be available digitally for $5.99 each or $24.99 for the Complete Season. The retail disc version of the game hits the shelves on March 17 for $39.99. The retail disc includes some extra bonus content, including two bonus episodes, Hunk and Wesker as bonus Raid Mode characters and the Raid Mode Throwback Map Pack.
One of the more exciting features of the game is that this marks the first time classic Resident Evil character Barry Burton is playable for the first time in a canonical game appearance. This is also his first storyline appearance really since Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
